About Lisa Larson

Lisa Larson was born in 1931 in the Southern part of Sweden. She is one of our most famous Swedish ceramics and is known for her animals and people figurines.

She studied craft and ceramic design in Gothenburg in the beginning of the 1950’s. She then worked for Gustavsberg for many years but left in the 1980 to freelance for different Swedish companies. 

In 1992 she was back at Gustavsberg and founded their ceramic studio. 

The four small Advent children, casted and painted by hand, in Lisa Larson’s Santa Lucia procession has become a classic in Swedish homes at Christmas.
